About Me

About Flourish Physiotherapy

Hi, I’m Yulagh. I studied physiotherapy at the University of Cape Town, graduating in 2008. I have worked in private practice since, completing the OMT course (Orthopedic Manual Therapy) and a Pilates instructor’s course (Motor Function and Movement Patterns) along the way. My special interests are Core Rehabilitation and Women’s Health, and I am fortunate to be able to focus on these two related areas in my practice at Flourish Physiotherapy, based in the South Peninsula. At Flourish Physiotherapy, I – Yulagh – incorporate elements from Pilates, OMT, and pelvic function into all treatments and classes, supporting women in achieving lasting strength, balance, and recovery.

About Yulagh

I took a prolonged break from practicing as a physio to be a Mom to my two children.  As a type 1 diabetic, birthing two healthy children was not without complexity and challenge.  It left me with a deeper understanding of complex pregnancies and post-partum care.  Living with a long term auto-immune disease, and the associated complications, has given me a more empathetic approach to managing patients.

I prefer to guide my patients in an empowering environment where they have control over the management of their long term health.  This requires more input, alignment and work from my patients, but the benefits of this approach are a life-long understanding and management of their conditions and better health outcomes.

When I am not working, I am hiking and running on the mountain with the flowers and birds.

TESTIMONIALS

Yulagh compassionately treated and guided me through my injury and recovery. I can recommend her wholeheartedly.
It has been incredible working with Yulagh. She offers a thorough, holistic approach and made me feel supported and empowered throughout my pelvic floor rehabilitation. I saw improvement almost immediately and have continued to work with her in my postpartum journey.
I never thought that as an adult I would need this kind of help. I have learnt so much about my body and it’s been really good. In 2 weeks I have more than halved the number of times I wake up at night to go to the toilet.
I consulted Yulagh Fraser in October 2025 over constipation and occasional faecal incontinence which had been getting steadily worse over about ten years. I didn’t expect a lot as I have mentioned the problem to many medical personnel over the years and received a blank response which led me to wonder if anyone had an answer. I am happy to report that Yulagh sorted me out in three months of careful working together. Yulagh is professional, knowledgeable, a great listener, excellent at explaining and you feel comfortable telling her anything. I am very grateful to her and recommend her highly.
